Singapore AI firm enters South African market

Singapore-headquartered AI and digital transformation firm Cogniviti Labs is expanding into South Africa, offering enterprise finance and procurement transformation services to local organizations.

The expansion marks the company’s first African presence and complements its delivery centers in Singapore, India, and Indonesia. It has also recently entered Australia and the United Kingdom.

Local leadership with global backing

Manav Sachdeva, a procurement and digital transformation expert with over two decades of experience, will lead the South African operation. A local team in Johannesburg will manage sales and delivery, while existing centers in Singapore and India provide support.

Sachdeva stated the initial focus will be on three services: end-to-end Coupa source-to-pay transformation, AI-driven spend analytics and master data management tools, and a suite of AI agents for procurement and finance functions.

“We collaborate with clients to develop AI-powered procurement solutions tailored to their specific challenges, processes, and data environments,” he said. “Our platforms integrate seamlessly with ERPs like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and Sage.”

Cogniviti Labs earned recognition as Coupa’s New International Breakout Partner of the Year for 2026. Its approach extends beyond software deployment, incorporating operating model design, change management, and AI agents to deliver measurable results.

AI as a business accelerator

Cogniviti Labs distinguishes itself from traditional software consultants. Built by practitioners rather than traditional software consultants, the company combines strategic guidance with hands-on operational expertise. Its leadership has executed large-scale digital transformations for global organizations.

“South African organizations are entering a phase where the focus has shifted from whether to adopt AI to how fast they can generate measurable business value,” Sachdeva said.

He explained that the company’s strength lies in merging strategy, technology execution, and AI innovation. “Our goal isn’t just to implement software—we partner with organizations to solve complex challenges and build intelligent solutions together.”

The move aligns with African enterprises’ increasing investment in AI to modernize procurement and finance. Cogniviti Labs enters a competitive setting with established global consultancies and local tech firms.

For now, the Johannesburg team will concentrate on securing early clients and validating its approach. Success in South Africa could pave the way for further expansion across the continent.
